Upon CHECK-OUT

Upon CHECK-OUT at 10:30 AM, earlier check-out because of covid-19. We need more time to sanitize, and deep clean rooms. Please leave keys in your room, and for the safety of our housekeeper, (1) open all windows so your room has a chance to air out before the housekeeper arrives. (2) Turn on fan to increase ventilation. (3) Close your room door on departure. Please text me when you check-out..

Please remove your car once you have checked out. Some guests selfishly want to stay parked for the rest of the day, while they shop, go whale watching or other activities, depriving my newly arriving guests of parking. There are only a few parking spots.

Housekeeping
Our usual daily housekeeping has been paused. If you don’t need fresh towels everyday hang them up to dry. We will provide towels everyday of your stay if you request an exchange. Please tell me or my housekeeper, each morning, if you need fresh towels. If fresh towels are desired, we will provide you with a bag to put your used towels in and we will exchange them for you outside your door. If trash needs emptying, let me know, I ask that you tie it up and place it outside your room or take it to the trash barrels outside. Extra trash bags are in the bathroom drawers. Larger bags for wet or used towels are in the bottom bathroom drawers.

Cleaning
We have always been serious about cleanliness. Guestrooms and common areas are now being cleaned and sanitized using CDC approved products, and high-touch areas in the common areas will be cleaned throughout the day. Some rooms and common areas have been closed to guests.

Your health and safety is most important to us and we have made some changes based on recommendations from hospitality experts, the CDC, the State of Maine and our local health department to ensure your stay will be comfortable, safe and memorable.

Face Masks
For everyone’s safety, a face mask/covering must be worn in all public areas of the inn unless you are fully vaccinated. This may change soon as guidance always changes. Don’t worry if you forget to bring a face mask, just let us know and we’ll be glad to provide one for you! The entrance hall will have a courtesy table with Masks, Hand Sanitizer, Disinfecting Wipes, and Vinyl Gloves for your use.

Please maintain 6 feet of social distance in common areas of the Inn. As your host, (sorry to say), we will have very limited personal interaction, if any, because of covid-19. Some guests will be fully vaccinated and others will not. Protect yourselves at all times. A tone of caution can't hurt. This is for your safety as well as mine.
